It's time to schedule your in-home installation! This is the last step between
you and fiber internet at up to gigabit speeds.
In order to best serve you, our in-home installations are a standardized process. Here's
what to expect:
Before your appointment
Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance, otherwise a cancellation fee
may apply.
In the days leading up to your appointment, a technician will pre-install a cable
between the telephone pole and an exterior box on the side of your home. Existing utility
lines will be followed whenever possible. You do not need to be present for this pre-installation.
During your appointment
Appointments are 90 minutes in length.
You must be physically present for the duration of the appointment.
The technician will install a cable between the exterior box and your desired location for your
Wi-Fi router, which must be no more than 50 feet away.
This cable will be installed along an outside wall, inside a basement, or
through a crawlspace at the technician's discretion.
The technician may help you set up additional items like streaming devices only if time
allows.
You can purchase your own Wi-Fi router or rent a router from Fiberspark for $8 per month. Renting a
router from Fiberspark allows for enhanced troubleshooting and gives you an optimized network for
all of your wireless devices. If you'd rather purchase your own, we'll display some
recommended Wi-Fi routers available for purchase after you schedule your appointment.
The technician will do their best to arrive at your appointment time, but they may arrive slightly
early or late. They will always call you prior to their arrival.
After your appointment
Fiberspark will contact you within 1-2 business days after your appointment to set up your online
billing account.
